A 31-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with serious assault after an alleged tomahawk attack in Brown Hill last night.
Police were called to a house in Ainley Street after reports of a serious assault about 5pm yesterday.
It is alleged the Ballarat man attacked another man, aged in his 30s, with a small tomahawk, causing head injuries.
He was found by police hiding under the house and was arrested at the scene.
Police believe the incident is a result of a long-standing feud between the pair.
The man was bailed and will appear in Ballarat Magistrates Court on August 27.
Any witnesses or anybody with further information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Ballarat Criminal Investigation Unit on 5336 6080.
