This town's picturesque scenery, featured in the $100 million movie remake of Charlotte's Webb, is for locals one many drawcards of settling in the relaxed, country community.
A highlight of the Greendale calender is the Greendale Country Market, staged at Egan's Reserve and run by volunteers.
The town is also known for the Greendale Country Pub, a popular meeting place for residents and a tourist attraction for the area.
Pub owner Greg Popple said it was a "happy-go-lucky" community.
"Everyone's pretty casual here," he said.
"All the locals come down here to the pub. We have a social club."
A picnic and barbeque area and a playground for the kids is located near the hotel.
