The Girl Guides should be congratulated for being brave enough to drop outdated and divisive statements from their pledge.
All humans should be equal, but making some more privileged just because of an accident of birth flies in the face of our treasured Australian sprit of a fair go.
Further, insisting that anyone pledge allegiance to God is against our principles of free speech and a right to freedom of religion.
