Rokewood-Corindhap v Beaufort at Rokewood, tomorrow, 2.30pm
BEAUFORT is down a key forward with news spearhead Jarrod Trigg has a broken collarbone.
Trigg suffered the injury in a bump with Springbank coach Sam Giblett on Saturday. The diagnosis is a blow for the Beaufort Rural and Hardware Crows, with Trigg (15) second behind Zane Thompson (22) as the club’s leading goalkicker. Beaufort joint coach Nick Franc said he would look to Ash George and Pat Gleeson to fill key forward roles in Trigg’s absence.
The Crows are slowly building some momentum in their bid for a finals berth, and make the trip to Rokewood on the back of three-straight successes. The Grasshoppers are also firing after their convincing 59-point victory over Learmonth on Saturday.
PREDICTION: Beaufort by 35 points, running away after half time.
