A much smaller election will be held this month to determine which day the city will have as a public holiday in 10 months’ time.
The options are Melbourne Cup Day on Tuesday, November 5, Ballarat Show Day on Friday, November 8 or Eureka Day on Monday, December 2.
Voting on the holiday date has opened and runs until February 28.
To cast your vote, visit the www.ballarat.vic.gov.au or Facebook page or post to @cityofballarat on Twitter, or fill out a survey form at the City of Ball-
arat Customer Service Centre at The Phoenix, 25 Armstrong St South.
Forms are also availa-
ble at the City of Ballarat’s
website to print and post to PO Box 655, Ballarat, VIC 3350.
Poll results will be considered and a date chosen at the March 13 council meeting.
