BALLARAT Sebastopol Cycling Club clinched double gold at the Victoria State Club Teams Track Championships at the weekend.
Angus Lyons, Will Key and Joshua Liston combined to win the sprint title, with Jerome Wallace joining the trio to claim the pursuit crown at the Darebin International Sports Centre.
Both victories came in the JM19 division.
Lyons, Key and Liston won the sprint from Brunswick in the gold medal ride on Saturday morning.
Wallace rode his debut state team event in the pursuit with experienced long-term team mentors Liston and Lyons.
He started from the automatic gate and worked as the pace-setter while the others moved into position.
The four riders had to complete 16 laps (4km) and worked smoothly and solidly at the pace to make a catch of the Brunswick line-up just before 12 laps.
This gave BSCC a decisive victory in the two junior men’s events.
