Having read the reply by Mr Simon Ramsay Western Victoria MLC (February 1) regarding the Geelong Road, I now have more questions than answers.

Mr Ramsay states that he writes "simply to indicate that there is still a great more work to be done": when?
And that "the contracts for stages three and four are yet to be awarded": when?
"Motorists should take care, Main Road is very busy".
Thanks for that info - some drivers may not have noticed. "All efforts are being made to get these vital upgrades as quickly as possible"
How long will it take - definition of quickly?
"Minimum impact on road users and pedestrians".
What about the hard working small business owners that are severely impacted due to access limitations to their businesses?
They have already suffered. The information Mr Ramsay has provided does not give me any sense of confidence that by the next fire season, or any other reason for mass exodus, the road will be much safer.
