Flint is set to take over the vacant role left by Guy Molloy, who stepped down from the top job late last year.
Ballarat basketball great Eric Hayes will join Flint as an assistant coach.
Flint comes to Ballarat with an outstanding pedigree as a coach and player.
He is the Bendigo Braves' all-time leader in games played, rebounds, blocks, assists and steals, and took the Braves to their first championship in 1988 as a playing coach. Flint was also selected to the SEABL Team of the Decade in 1980-89 as a player and 1990-99 as the head coach.
