OLYMPIAN James Marburg will compete in Australia’s biggest surf boat racing event this weekend.
The Ballarat athlete will join his Jan Juc teammates in the Navy Australian Open in the three-day event,beginning on Friday in Stockton, New South Wales.
Marburg joined the Jan Juc Thunder Open Men surf boat crew soon after competing in flatwater rowing at London 2012 and has competed all over Victoria in the state arm of the Navy Australian Surf Rowers League series.
