The suit is white with black polka dots, features Sesame Street character Elmo and bright pink trim.
It suits the gorgeous nine-month-old and was capped off, Ms Vawdrey said, by Taylah’s little spectacles.
Ms Vawdrey has won The Courier Appy Hour assignment this week for ‘Show Us Your Favourite Op Shop Outfit’.
An op shopping enthusiast, Ms Vawdrey said she loved fossicking about to find clothes for her grandchildren.
“I love op shopping. It’s such a nice way to get things at a reasonable price, especially for children – they grow up so fast,” Ms Vawdrey said.
It seems The Courier readers enjoy making other people’s former items their new treasures.
Fellow The Courier fan Rebecca Hodge submitted a photo of her shopping expedition at Vinnies.
Ms Hodge says she bought 12 items for $32 – something special for her whole family.
Children’s clothes were paticularly popular for this assignment, with reader Samatha Wright also sending in a cute red dress on her toddler.
Ms Vawdrey has won a $20 voucher for The Church Retro Cafe, Ballarat.
NEXT WEEK
Our next assignment, “Show us the Love” asks readers to show us their Valentine’s Day. Send us a loved-up photo of you and someone special on the day or in the lead-up, or you with a gift you received. If your photo is published next Friday, we have a double pass to Lakeside Twilights at Lake Wendouree next Saturday. Ross Wilson, Brian Cadd and Glen Shorrock and Dragon will be performing.
WHAT TO DO: Take your “Show us the Love” photo and submit it via the report button on The Courier’s iPhone and Android App assignment.
