Fast forward nine years and Megan and her partner Michael couldn’t be happier.
So happy in fact that they are set to marry in September.
Megan sent in one of her favourite photographs of her and Michael, which she said showcased their love.
“Everyone who sees this photo comments on how happy we look and how in love we must be,” she said.
“We are certainly very in love and I can’t wait to marry my best friend.”
And that’s why she is the very worthy winner of The Courier’s Appy Hour assignment for this week.
We asked readers to send in their best photograph to illustrate their love for Valentines Day.
Megan and Michael will marry on September 14 at Midlands Golf Club and are looking forward to an intimate celebration with close family and friends.
For her efforts this week she takes home a double pass to Lakeside Twilights next Saturday afternoon on the foreshore of Lake Wendouree.
With no shortage of love streaming in this week, other readers, including Bonnie Jackson and Steph Hodgins-Maya, also won double passes for their Valentine-inspired snaps.
