MORE than 2300 votes have been submitted to the City of Ballarat to help determine the region’s public holiday.
But time is running out to cast your vote.
A meeting to hear submissions as to the public holiday will be held today.
The survey will also remain open until Thursday, February 28.
Residents have the option to choose between Melbourne Cup Day, Ballarat Show Day or Eureka Day to become Ballarat’s public holiday for at least the next four years.
Residents can have their say at today’s special council meeting at 6pm at the Town Hall; by logging on to www.ballarat.vic.gov.au/haveyoursay; in person at the City of Ballarat’s customer service centre; or via Twitter, Facebook or post.
Feedback will go to an ordinary meeting of the council for consideration on Wednesday, March 13.
