In an extremely rare circumstance, two Erickson Air Cranes, Gypsy Lady and Camille, were yesterday stationed on the tarmac at Ballarat Airport.
Gypsy Lady is based in Ballarat for this firefighting season and Camille was visiting after a stint
fighting the Grampians fires.
Joining them was an array of firefighting aircraft, CFA tankers, DSE and Parks Victoria vehicles
and City of Ballarat staff and councillors for the photo shoot.
Acting CFA aviation officer Wayne Rigg said it was important to recognise the teamwork on fire fronts through-out the 2012-13 fire season.
