Commuters were left waiting on a train for more than an hour.
COMMUTERS on V/Line’s peak-hour service from Ballarat to Melbourne were delayed for more than one hour after a signal fault stopped the train just before Sunshine.
The train, which left Wendouree station at 7.28am, didn’t arrive at Southern Cross station until 9.53am, 64 minutes late.
Commuter Georgina Laidlaw said the delay was “pathetic” and all too common on the Ballarat to Melbourne line.
“The exact same thing happened on the exact same day last week and it is really becoming quite ridiculous.”
V/Line spokesman James Kelly declined to comment on commuters’ frustrations with delay reasons.
