A cheque was yesterday presented to the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute by the cycle classic's committee representative John Ives.
It takes the amount raised since the event began six years ago to $876,000.
Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute research director Professor George Kannourakis said he was delighted with the result.
"This amount represents a considerable investment in the important work currently being undertaken at the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute," Professor Kannourakis said.
"I am immensely grateful to the committee for their hard work and to the participants, sponsors and the community for their wonderful support of the cycle classic and the institute.
"All the funds raised will go directly into running our research programs."
Next year's event will be held on February 16.
