KARA Hart appears on target to return from injury for Ballarat Pride’s next assignment against Peninsula Waves in the Victorian Netball League.
With the competition having a break tonight, UB Ballarat Pride faces the Waves next Wednesday night – giving her an extra week to recover.
Hart missed Pride’s second-round win over Geelong Cougars a week ago with an ankle injury.
She suffered the setback in the opening week of the season.
Pride communications officer Jordan O’Keefe said Hart trained lightly on Monday.
She will be further tested at training tonight and on Sunday.
Sunday’s session will feature a hit-out against the Victorian country mixed squad, which is preparing for the Australian men’s and mixed national titles in Melbourne later this month.
This will be the prelude for a big week for Pride.
As well as taking on Waves, Ballarat will have the first of its three home games for the season against Yarra Valley Grammar Ariels at the Wendouree Sports and Events Centre on Sunday, March 24.
O’Keefe said the team was already looking forward to playing in front of a home crowd.
