A SMEATON man who kicked a bouncer in the chest had no memory of the incident until it was showed to him by police.
Jarrod Adams, 34, yesterday pleaded guilty in the Ballarat Magistrates Court to unlawful assault following a fight at the Old Hepburn Hotel on April 16 last year..
Although Adams was not involved in an initial fight, he was later seen on footage trying to kick the bouncer to the chest.
Police prosecutor Michelle Kilburn said the bouncer was not injured
Adams’ defence lawyer Jeremy Harper said his client did not remember the incident properly until police showed him footage of the incident five months later.
Magistrate Peter Couzens took into account the fact Adams made full admissions to police and that he did not cause any injuries. Adams was convicted and fined $750.
