BALLARAT workers are being encouraged to nominate community-minded administration professionals for the United Way 2013 Administration Professional of the Year.
Winners of this year’s award will be presented with a trophy at the Administrative Professionals Breakfast at the Ballarat Golf Club on May 3.
United Way events co-ordinator Ange Bridges said administration workers were usually the unsung heroes of any office.
She said anyone from Ballarat or surrounds could nominate an administration worker for this year’s award.
“We’re looking for people who do administrative work, but also people who go a bit above and beyond and maybe do a bit of community work,” she said.
“Nominations are open to anyone.”
Guests at this year’s breakfast will be treated to champagne and will be entertained by MC Kathy Bedford and guest speaker Jemima Richards; a founding member of support group Firefoxes Australia.
All proceeds go towards the work of United Way Ballarat and the programs help fund.
