THE man accused of murdering his father and uncle at their rural Natte Yallock property left the family farm between the two murders, the Melbourne Magistrates Court heard this morning.
The Age has reported Ross Streeter, 30, appeared tired and dazed and had his left arm in a sling as the charges against him were read out before Magistrate Charlie Rozencwajg.
Police informant Detective Senior Constable Glenn Boxhill told the court Mr Streeter was at the 1600-hectare family farm at Natte Yallock on Thursday when he allegedly killed his uncle with a shotgun.
He then left the area before returning to the farm and killing his father, allege police.
He then returned to the Bendigo area, the court heard, before being arrested and interviewed by police on the same day.
Mr Streeter was charged with two counts of murder.

The court heard that the murder weapon was recovered by police on Monday.
Police were still carrying out an extensive search for evidence at the farm, including collecting forensic samples and checking phone, email and internet communications.
A witness was with Mr Streeter on the day of the killings, the court heard.
Mr Streeter, who was hospitalised for several days following the murders, wore his sling underneath a dark-blue and light-blue striped sweater. He was drowsy throughout the brief hearing and appeared to be falling asleep.
Mr Rozencwajg remanded Mr Streeter in custody before a commital mention on June 25.
The close-knit rural community of Natte Yallock is in shock at both the murders and the arrest of Ross Streeter, according to locals.
