An underground truck fire at Mt Clear is listed as controlled.
A CFA spokesperson said the fire was now contained and all workers were accounted for.
She said firefighters had descended into the mine on Woolshed Gully Drive and were evacuating eight people at a time.
The blaze started at 3.10pm when a truck inside the mine caught fire.
Sprinklers inside the mine went off and contained the fire.
The CFA spokesperson said the company running the mine had put its evacuation plan into place.
