DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses after a woman was kidnapped in Ararat on Tuesday.
Ararat Crime Investigation Unit has been told a woman, 22, was walking along Campbell Street near Baird Street when she was approached by three men in a dark-coloured vehicle about 1am.
She was grabbed and pulled into the vehicle and driven about 20km toward Elmhurst, travelling along Campbell Street and then north on the Pyrenees Highway.
Police say she was then dropped off on the Pyrenees Highway at Ararat.
The woman did not suffer any injuries during the incident.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact police, and in particular would like to speak to a male truck driver who helped the woman along the Pyrenees Highway.
