Australia could be facing another change in Prime Minister, after Ms Gillard announced an ALP leadership ballot would be held at 4.30pm.
However, former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has confirmed he will not challenge Julia Gillard.
Ms King's media adviser Peter Dwyer told The Courier she would not be speaking about the leadership.
Earlier, senior Labor minister Simon Crean called on the Prime Minister to spill all leadership positions for the "future of the country".
He indicated he would support Kevin Rudd at the vote, before MR Rudd announced he would not be standing.
