Theatre takes on politics in Animal Farm at Ballarat's Her Majesty's

IN PERFECT timing with the latest string of political unrest facing the country, the hit stage-show production of George Orwell’s Animal Farm takes over Her Majesty’s today.

Addressing corruption by leaders and government of the people, Animal Farm’s parallels with the modern day are eerie and entertaining.

Adapted and created by award-winning Brisbane theatre company Shake and Stir, the show promises to be one of the most exciting, relevant and humorous theatre shows of the 2013 season.

Cast member Nelle Lee said the small cast, which included four others, was thrilled to bring the show to Ballarat.

“The show itself is really exciting and fun and people will walk away questioning what they know,” she said.
