WENDOUREE is on the verge of a fifth-straight Ballarat Cricket Association club firsts premiership.
The Red Caps greeted stumps last night just 62 runs behind Naps-Sebas in the fourth innings of the grand final at Eastern Oval.
Wendouree, which dismissed Naps-Sebas for 188 in their second dig late yesterday, has all 10 wickets in hand when it resumes at 0-14 tomorrow.
Quick Eamon Johnson took seven wickets in the second innings, giving him 11 for the match, as Naps-Sebas fought hard under the guidance of Kyle Eyers (77 not out) but look to have fallen short of a defendable total.
Meanwhile, Lucas is poised to claim the district division one crown from reigning champions Buninyong.
Lucas clinched first innings victory early today, passing the Bunnies' 163, before reaching 9-226 at the end of its allotted overs.
The minor premiers now have Buninyong in trouble at 7-109.
