With the latest job losses at Ford Australia having such a huge impact on Victorian jobs, isn't it time the state government ordered all departments to only purchase motor vehicles manufactured in Victoria?
That would go a considerable way to securing hundreds of Victorian jobs well into the future.
The only reason we need to go outside the state is if local manufacturers aren't producing a vehicle suitable for the intended purpose.
I have often wondered why camera cars need to be SUV when many a sedan would easily be suitable for that purpose.
