Vintage fans are encouraged to bust out the threads from the favourite era, step back in time and dance the night away to kick off Ballarat Heritage Weekend.
Organiser Steph Wallace said Ballarat Heritage Weekend was about more than just “old, cold and gold” and expected the dance would help bring some youthful excitment to the event.
“Everyone loves an excuse to get dolled up, we pretend that we don’t but we do,” she laughed.
Best-dressed prizes and a photobooth will be on offer, while 1960s tribute band Vonda Bouys and the Falsettos will be on hand to provide the soundtrack.
The dance will be held next Friday in the Minerva Room in the Ballarat Mechanics Institute.
For those who love everything vintage, there will also be a market held the following day selling designer goods, homewares and retro collectables.
Tickets for the Ballarat Vintage Dance can be purchased at popup.com.au or the Red Brick Gallery.
