Wildcats import causes stir at Minerdome

WILDCATS Basketball Club new import has caused a sensation at the Minerdome.

The Wildcats' new off-guard is an American import to help shake up play in the Ballarat Basketball Association A-grade.

D'Lesha Lloyd, a 175-centimetre tall off-guard, has been playing with Bulleen Boomers in the Big V League and accepted an invitation to play club ball with the Wildcats to help stay match-fit while preparing for Women's National Basketball League try-outs.

Lloyd has played internationally in Greece, Germany and Poland.

Wildcats chairman Ray Borner said it was exciting to have a player like Lloyd alongside Ballarat Rush players to help strengthen and develop the competition.
