INDONESIA'S National Anti-Drug Movement is doggedly fighting for Schapelle Corby's latest sentence cut to be annulled, with plans to lodge a second appeal.
In a move that has caused backlash from anti-drugs group Granat, Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono approved a five-year cut to the drug trafficker's sentence last May. Granat says the President's decision contravenes Indonesian law — but has already lost this argument in court once.
Analysts suggest its current antics are about bolstering the conservative cause.
