At the corner of Sturt and Windermere streets, there's half of one the left and half on the right.
The conflicting signs outside the NAB Bank branch were spotted by confused motorist Adam Gray and posted to Twitter.
"Certainly a puzzling one," Mr Gray said on his account @adamsgray73.
"Only logical explanation is dyslexia of some kind. Can't fathom this level of miscommunication."
The City of Ballarat has been contacted for comment.
According to parking fine data obtained by The Courier under Freedom of Information laws earlier this year, 13 fines for parking in a disabled space were issued on that section of street in 2012.
City of Ballarat Infrastructure general manager Eric Braslis said the disabled parking space was relocated to the right so that passengers could get out of their cars on an even, fully-sealed surface.
"The disabled accessible car parking space had been on the south side of the pedestrian bridge," Mr Braslis said.
"The new line markings were completed on Friday and the signs will be changed today."
