June Mary Phelan, 49, appeared in Ballarat Magistrates Court where she pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including intentionally causing serious injury, recklessly causing serious injury and reckless conduct.
Charge sheets provided to the court state Phelan committed the offences on March 31 this year.
The charge of recklessly causing serious injury stemmed from Phelan taking a cigarette lighter and lighting the victim’s clothing.
Magistrate Bob Kumar sentenced Phelan to six-months jail, suspended for 12-months.
