Some patients at Sovereign House at BHS are allowed out unsupervised, others with designated people and others not at all. No smokes at all for them. Is this fair?
DSAs would relieve a lot of stress for both staff and patients if they were undercover and well-ventilated.
I challenge Mr Rowe to conduct a survey of all staff working directly with mentally ill patients at BHS as to whether they believe DSAs should be introduced there and publish the results in The Courier.
I'm a non-smoker. My partner gave it up for six months but took it back up due to stress.
She wants to quit and I would do anything that would help her achieve this.
However, I don't believe I have the right to take her smokes and lock her in the house for her own good. I'd have to hide the knives and sleep with one eye open.
