VICTORIAN Premier Cricket will return to Ballarat this summer for the first time in almost three years.
The VPC today unveiled its annual Bush Bash round with Ballarat Cricket Association to host three Twenty20 games on December 7.
Traditional strong clubs St Kilda and Dandenong, with the newly merged Greenvale Kangaroos (formerly North Melbourne) will contest the triple-header at Eastern Oval.
BCA secretary Don Jacobsson said it was great to have a successful application to bring premier cricket back to Ballarat.
Jacobsson said the early December fixture, less than two weeks before the Big Bash League opener, would hopefully allow top players to be available for action.
Premier Cricket last visited Ballarat in January 2011 when Carlton and North Melbourne played a Twenty20 country round at Eastern Oval.
