MASTERS will officially open its Learmonth Road doors today, employing 120 Ballarat staff.
The 13,500 square metre “big box” store is 50 per cent bigger than any other Ballarat hardware store, with a separate trade-only area.
It has more than 35,000 products from tools and hardware, to kitchens, bathrooms and lighting, partnered with an in-store consultation service to help shoppers with home renovations.
The Masters range include European designer kitchens and accessories, flat-pack kitchens, pixel-perfect paint mixing technology, easy to follow ‘how to’ guides for a wide variety of DIY projects, a large range of sustainable products and multi-function checkouts.
Surrounding the store will be 15 speciality shops that will combine to form the Eureka Homemaker Centre, with several of the stores already leased.
There are currently 33 other Masters stores across Australia, with the stores designed with families in mind, including children’s facilities, a mother’s room and a light,
Masters is a mutibillion-dollar joint venture between Woolworths and US-based home improvement chain Lowes.
Masters plans to open up to 20 new stores in Australia each year.
