A PERCUSSION showcase will bring musicians from different schools together to perform and create a drumline.
Ensembles and soloists from Ballarat Clarendon College, Ballarat Grammar, Ballarat Secondary College, The Hamilton and Alexandra, Loreto, Mount Clear and St Patrick’s colleges, as well as Ballarat High School will perform.
Special guest D2 Drumline, Australia’s only professional Drumline who performed at the AFL grand final last year, will also perform and combine with the students for a drumline of all performers.
Co-ordinator Michael Evans-Barker said: “People can often be surprised to know that percussion has the most instruments and most variation. It’s different to brass and other types of instruments.”
The Ballarat Percussion Showcase will take place at the Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts on Wednesday and is free.
