DAMON Coutts has claimed Ballarat’s Club Mud King of Ballarat downhill mountain bike series with a solid performance in the final round of the event at Black Hill on Sunday.

Coutts, who was equal first with Trant Beacom on 140 points after the first two rounds, posted a solid 72-point final round for the outright win with a total of 212 points.
Coutts’ brother Kyle finished second on 200 while Daniel Wilson finished third on 188 in difficult conditions.
“The track was fairy good – we had a lot of rain during the week but luckily it dried out by Saturday afternoon,” event organiser Jason Weston said.
“It was a much more technical track than in the first two races and made for some really good racing that came down to the wire.”
A total of 56 riders took part in the weekend’s races, results are listed below.
