IN case you’ve missed it, the Bawden clan wants you to know Richmond is playing finals this year.
So much so that they’ve decorated the outside of their new home in the famous yellow and black colours.
The Bawden family’s house already had a large black feature wall.
Now it has a not-so-subtle yellow sash.
It was dad Mick who had the idea, but it was his wife Shannon who completed the job.
It will stay up while the Tigers are still in the hunt.
“I just hope it stays up past Sunday,” Mick says.
“I don’t want to have to rip it down in anger come Sunday night.”
Mick and Shannon are both Tiger tragics and have seen every Richmond game played in Victoria this year.
They’ve managed to score tickets for Sunday’s elimination final against arch-enemy Carlton at the MCG in the Olympic Stand.
“They’re awesome seats,” Mick says.
“I lined up in the queue to buy the tickets, but I ended up buying them online while I was still in the queue.”
Mick and Shannon have three kids, all baptised into the Tiger faithful.
Anakin is 10, Nelson, 8, and Pippa, 4, so none of them has experienced seeing the Tigers in finals during their lives. All three are fired up.
“I think I’m the worst of the all of them,” Shannon admits.
