Those clouds mean business this morning. The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting a thunderstorm for Ballarat later today.
The city's weather will otherwise be cloudy with rain at times, easing to a shower or two at night.
Ballarat is expected to reach 15 degrees.
Aside from a small number of drunks dealt with over the weekend, Ballarat police are still hunting a man responsible for using a truck to smash down the front of a Wendouree hobby store - all to steal a train set.

Ballarat SES crews are gearing up for a big day today, with severe thunderstorms likely to produce damaging winds over the next several hours.
Locations which may be affected include Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton, Seymour, Maryborough, Geelong, Melbourne and Wangaratta.
People should keep clear of fallen power lines, secure any loose objects and stay indoors if possible.
The SES also advises to avoid using the phone during the storm.
The next warning is due to be issued by 9:00 am.

The 7:31 Maryborough - Southern Cross service is cancelled and is operating as a coach from Maryborough to Ballarat then as a train service from Ballarat - Southern Cross.
No other delays were reported.
