TWELVE months in the making and Damien Jones’ love-child is up and running.
Catfish Thai opened last night to a jolly reception of diners.
The former Lydiard Wine Bar chef said his latest venture was to focus on a “complete experience”.
“This is all my years of experience rolled into one venue,” Mr Jones said.
“I’m hoping the dining, open kitchen and the food will make for a more complete and memorable experience.”
Mr Jones said his restaurant would serve meals comprised of fresh ingredients.
“I make my own coconut cream, my own curry paste so the ingredients are as fresh as they could be.
"I go to the markets to get most of the ingredients,” he said.
Catfish Thai has moved into the previous building of Anne’s Flower Basket on Main Road, a well known florist in the community.
