NORTH Ballarat Rebels talent manager Phil Partington says the club’s four AFL Draft Combine invitees acquitted themselves as good as possible during four days of intense physical and mental testing in Melbourne this week.
Rebels Louis Herbert, Sam Bennett, Matt Crouch and Dallas Willsmore completed the camp in front of prospective AFL clubs yesterday with the 3km time trial, of which all recorded personal best times.
Herbert was the only Rebel to feature in the top 10 in any of the tests throughout the week, doing so in the repeat sprints and a range of vertical jump analysis.
Partington said the four Rebels now had to keep fit and prepare for the AFL National Draft on November 21.
The Rebels’ best and fairest count is tomorrow.
