BALLARAT is being invited to view and discuss potential design options for the development of the Ballarat Railway Station Precinct.
An open house session will be held tomorrow at Jacksons and Co between 3pm and 8pm where residents, traders and community groups can see some of the ideas for the area.
The state government, Victrack and City of Ballarat are currently working on a master plan for the precinct which will look at its future use for the next 50 years.
Some of the opportunities idenitifed in previous community engagment sessions include restoring the old rail sheds and giving them a new use including a heritage museum, markets or a restaurant.
More than 100 people have contributed their thoughts for the area, with some of the challenges including issues with car parking, vandalism and congestion.
