Get the Civic Hall refit done without delay

After attending our council's workshop on the future of the Civic Hall, Sunday, August 5, at Mercure in Geelong Rd, it is hard to understand why it was really needed.

All the majority of information on exhibit indicates that the original people's plan for the hall's refit and retention is most desired, so, why the need for all the pomp and expensive hoo-haa for a small number of people.

Council appear to like to add still more expense to the already very large amount that has been wasted already.

Maybe council needs to be reminded that the rates we pay in to look after the City of Ballarat are not their personal slush fund to do what takes their particular fancy.

It is time to stop all this time and money wasting and get in there, clean the Civic Hall, do what refurbishment is needed so the hall can be put back in service for the people, not for council's whims and worry about if they will be elected at the soon to be council elections.
