Police say the public could hold the key to solving the theft of two caravans from Lake Bolac earlier this month.
Investigators say two caravans, owned by a Ballarat family, were stolen from the town’s foreshore sometime on October 2 or October 3.
The owners had parked the vans just off Frontage Road, but thieves hooked them to unknown vehicles and drove away.
Worth more than $15,000, the two vans were old but had a substantial amount of equipment inside.
One of the vans had also been recently refurbished.
One of the missing vans is a white Empire caravan, registration V38408.
The other is a white Franklin caravan, registration V42906.
Senior Constable Brendan Vann said anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or call him at the Lake Bolac police station on 5350 2310.
