WHAT photo do you think best showcases Ballarat? Now you’ve got your chance to let everyone know.
The Courier is calling for readers to take part in the #myballarat competition on Instagram by showing the world what photo best captures the soul of Ballarat.
To enter, upload a picture to Instagram with the hashtag #myballarat, a description explaining your choice and a mention of our account @ballaratcourier.
If you don’t have the app, it’s free to download via your phone’s app store.
The post that gets the most likes will be the winner, with the best photos to be featured in The Courier’s print edition and online.
Ballarat Instagram user Liana Skewes said she uploaded a photo once every couple of days.
“More if it’s on the weekend or I’m at an event or interesting place,” she said.
“Everyone sees their city differently. You can explore your city through other people’s eyes, just by searching a hashtag.”
She said her shot of Ballarat would be of the Wu-Tang graffiti piece by street artist Cax One.
“It’s a small part of Ballarat that’s famous on the internet, but most people don’t know it exists,” she said.
