POLICE and emergency services volunteers enjoyed a relatively trouble-free Friday night and early Saturday morning.
Ballarat Police Sergeant Jo Graham said there were no major incidents overnight, while a Country Fire Authority spokesman described it as "a good night".
"It was a fairly typical Friday night really," Sergeant Jo Graham said. "There was little to report."
The CFA did not report any serious incidents last night or in the early hours of the morning.
Temperatures in Ballarat dipped to 5.6 degrees overnight. The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting temperatures will rise to a maximum of 15 degrees today with the chance of a shower.
The forecast ahead of Sunday's Tour of the Goldfields 58km road race is for cloudy conditions, a little rain at night and winds south to southwesterly and light. The forecast maximum is 17 degrees with an overnight minimum of 3 degrees.
