HALLOWEEN will be celebrated through art as part of a new group exhibition starting this week.
The first annual Halloween Creep Show will be held at Wolveschildren Art Space, featuring the work of artists from Ballarat and beyond.
Wolveschildren Art Space owner Erin Bond Matheson said the walls of her gallery would be filled with Halloween-inspired artwork.
“We put the call out to artists everywhere and we’ve had a huge response,” she said.
“There will be a bit of everything, including paintings, photography and sculpture.”
Local artist Brock Sibley said he usually worked as an abstract painter but thought the Halloween show would be a nice challenge.
He said his mixed-media piece featured paint, collage and photographs and was “very crazy”.
“I thought it would be a bit of fun. I’ve entered just the one piece and it’s a mixture of carnival-esque clown horror,” Mr Sibley said.
The Halloween Creep Show will have its opening event on Thursday, October 31 from 6pm. For more information, visit facebook.com/wolveschildren
