DANDINO WORKS AT WERRIBEE
AUSTRALIAN Thoroughbred Bloodstock’s English-trained stayer Dandino took his next step towards a Melbourne Cup start on Tuesday with a track gallop at Werribee this morning.
Trained by Marco Botti, Dandino dismissed rumours of injury issues with a strong gallop.
Dandino, which among his numerous owners is a Ballarat syndicate and other Ballarat district interests, is second favourite for the Melbourne Cup.
COUNTRY CUPS RUN

Tuscan Fire (trained by Dan O’Sullivan), Gotta Take Care (Darren Weir) and Verdant (Robert Smerdon) line up in the listed $240,000 Bendigo Cup, 2400m.
Hurdy Gurdy Man (Darren Weir) is already a duel cup winner this spring - Murtoa and Hamilton.
Another Ballarat trots and greyhound doubleheader tonight.
Ballarat and District Trotting Club has a seven-race card at Bray Raceway, while next door at Morshead Park the Ballarat Greyhound Racing Club has a “Girls Night Out”.
The “Girls Night Out” is raising money for a Ballarat Health Services special care nursery.
