A GOLD chain worn by an elderly woman who died last week after being struck by a car on Creswick Road is missing.

The 92-year-old woman was struck on Thursday and died on Friday at Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Police believe the chain went missing before the woman arrived at hospital and may have fallen off in the collision.
Members of the woman's family are keen to find the chain. Anyone with any information is urged to call Ballarat Police on 5336 6000.
No charges are expected to be laid against the female probationary driver, who returned a negative blood-alcohol reading and assisted police at the scene.
