Civic Hall debate in final stages

Despite my preconceived biased ideas and tunnel vision, there appeared to be a strong leaning towards retention of our Civic Hall, at the latest workshop.

There was a shortage of councillors.

It may take a very brave man to sign off on the demolition permit. It may look akin to the repercussions following the sacking of Gough Whitlam.

The pro-demolition group claimed support from the unseen and silent group of workshop non-attendees.

This is the best way to boost your perceived support and convince yourself and staunch stalwarts that you have not sunk yet. Nobody present could disprove it.

Latest report shows we have progressed to a shortlist of about eight options, mostly being closely aligned to where we were 11 years ago.

I suggest a referendum be sent out with our rate notices.
