A chilly start this morning, but you'd take that every day of the week when presented with the weather we've got coming up.
Beautiful sunshine throughout the day for Ballarat, with a top temperature of 22 degrees. Perfect for your favourite weekend activity.
It will be partly cloudy with light winds becoming northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h during the morning then becoming light in the early afternoon.
Tomorrow looks alright too, with a top temperature of 26 degrees, however there are some showers predicted.
POLICE
Not much happening for Ballarat police. Anyone heading to Stereosonic in Melbourne this weekend is being warned that they will be checked by sniffer dogs.
Police will target illicit drug trafficking and use by patrons as well as drunkenness and anti-social behaviour.
FIRE
Ballarat fire services attended a car fire at about 10.20pm last night in Sebastopol. The fire was promptly extinguished with no other serious call-outs for the night.
AMBULANCE
A quiet night for local ambos, with no call-outs in our area. The Ambulance Victoria depot in Sebastopol has been hit by burglars, who stole a large quantity of prescription drugs earlier this week.
Among the drugs stolen include fentanyl; a painkiller about 100 times stronger than morphine.
In Creswick, residents are still waiting for their ambulance station to be built months after Health Minister David Davis announced the beginning of construction.
VLINE
No hold-ups for the run in and out of Melbourne this morning, with the Vline website reporting good service on the Ballarat line.
