Big names including James Reyne, Mental as Anything, the Black Sorrows and Vika and Linda Bull, entertained a crowd of more than 1000 people on Saturday afternoon, while surprise guest Daryl Braithwaite even made an appearance with good mate Reyne.
Lakeside Twilights organiser Paul Taylor said it was great to see a number of families making the most of the unique event.
“That’s what it’s all about, getting the family together, listening to great Australian acts and just enjoying an afternoon,” Mr Taylor said.
“Everyone had a good time and it was a great afternoon.”
Mr Taylor confirmed there would be more Lakeside Twilights events next year, promising more talented Australian artists.
“It’ll definitely be back and there are a number of people we are trying to book,” he said.
“It’s just a matter of getting the timing right to make it all happen.
“Shows like this in Ballarat are fantastic.”
